The National Award for Excellence in Printing was conferred on Opal cards of Coimbatore at a glittering ceremony held in Hotel Le Meridian, Chennai by the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP).

K.Lakshman, BJP MLA gave the award on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Governor, P.S.Ramamohan Rao. Opal cards has been selected among the 52 all-India entries in the category and the award winning entry was a multi-colour product catalogue for Amarjothi Spinning mills.


The National Awards for Excellence in Printing (NAEP) was organised by AIFMP to promote excellence in printing and create an environment of healthy competition to improve quality.


Opal cards is a leading producer of quality wedding cards, corporate greeting cards and personal stationary in the city. Opal has made forays into foreign market and also plans to step up efforts in this region.


R Manoharan of Opal Cards has this to say: Opal cards aims to excel in all aspects of printing, designing, conception and execution, quality printing, paper quality and presentation. Ten franchisee-operated showrooms will be opened at the earliest in Kerala.
